Operational Definition

fleeting and very much WIP!

A working definition established for the purposes of a conversation.

  1. It's not perfect, it might be different from yours.
  2. It's good enough for us to communicate, assuming we expect the best from each other. (principle of charity)

Andrew Huberman uses operational definitions in his podcasts. I'm not a big fan of his overconfidence, but I appreciate how well-structured they are, esp. in terms of getting information into your head.
